Arthur Shapiro, serves in an "Of Counsel" capacity to the firm. Arthur is a graduate of Drew University and Albany Law School. He has been practicing in Middletown since becoming a member of the New York Bar in 1958.
Arthur was Middletown City Judge from 1984-1988. He has represented the Town of Minisink as its counsel for approximately 25 years. Arthur is the former Town of Warwick Town Attorney and is former Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Middletown. Earlier in his career Arthur served as an Assistant District Attorney for Orange County.
He presently serves as a Judicial Hearing Officer for the New York State Court System, and is a Hearing Officer for the New York State Retirement Board.
Arthur has established longstanding relationships with many of his commercial clients and has handled a variety of commercial counseling, transactional and civil litigation matters for these entities, including representation before administrative agencies.
Arthur resides in West Dover, Vermont and Boynton Beach, Florida with his wife, Diane Grigos. He is the father of Carolyn and Richard, and the proud grandfather of Emily, Matthew and Aaron.
